Jane’s story
We would like to introduce you to our intern – Jane Habana Risko. She is 24 years old and loves dancing. Jane was one of the very first members of our home group when we began ministry here in Mombasa in 2019. We met her simply on the beach during one of our evangelisms. She quickly became a friend to all the guys on our team, and also our freelance agent.

Jane often brought friends to home groups and helped organize them. Later she became our assistant in the children’s ministry and the first volunteer in any project.

Jane believed in Christ, she once attended different churches, but never settled in any of them.

As we talked about dedicated following of Christ, her heart responded and she wanted to understand the Word more and more. And when I found out about a new set of internships, I wanted to become a part of it. Now she is preparing for water baptism.

This is what the girl says about her desire to be in the project: “I want to know God more. I want to see changes in my family, so that they know that all we need is the Lord, no matter what. And I also want to learn new things. I hope that by the end of the year I will be able to change someone’s life and see changes in society.”

We are grateful that Jane has the opportunity to be here and know Christ. We believe that what we sow into God’s kingdom will bear fruit. May our God reward!
