Missionary internship first graduation!!!

The missionary internship is perhaps the most time-consuming project on our mission. Young people come to our base for a year, where they serve full-time, study Scripture daily, and learn the discipline of prayer. The guys had to learn a lot again, take responsibility, and change. We survived the corona together with them, helped our neighbors, read books, evangelized, prayed for each other, got sick and recovered, celebrated birthdays and experienced family losses.

One of the guys said that he had never thought about God so often as he had this year, and had never before experienced God’s presence in his life every day as much as he did now.

These words are worth all the effort! Three out of four interns made it to the end, and we had graduation on December 18th! Congratulate they came from our new friends, whom God sent many to our mission this year.

The pastors of our partner churches, the volunteer guys who joined our ministry throughout the year, the mothers who took care of us as soon as we arrived in Mombasa.

What’s next? Starting next year, three graduates will become full-fledged members of our team and will continue to serve. Can we say that they finally became missionaries? We don’t want to chase titles and assign labels. We simply believe that they will continue to be true disciples of Christ.

What is the future of the project?

Next year we are planning to recruit ten new interns from different cities in Kenya, and it is very joyful that there will also be our deputies who have decided to follow Christ in communication with us.
